Welcome everyone to our blogspot. We are the Martin family. Jeff, Courtney and Elise. We've created the blog so we can stay in touch with our family and friends. Hopefully through pictures everyone will be able to watch Elise grow since we are far away from most of our loved ones. So, if everyone will be active participants in the blog, I think we'll have a good time.

Welcome Sydney Kate!!!

Sydney Kate was born on Friday, Feb. 13th at 4:34 AM. She weighed 6 lbs. 15 oz. and was 21 inches long. I think her nickname is going to be "long John". She takes after her Daddy! She is in the 25th percentile for weight and 75th percentile for height. She also has long fingers and toes. She has been a wonderful baby, she sleeps well at night. Usually she wakes every 3-3 1/2hrs for feedings. She never cries unless you change her diaper! The second time around isn't such a shock as the first child.

Sydney looks like she is meditating in the picture below.

Elise has been a great big sister! She loves Sydney Kate, she gives her kisses and hugs. She hasn't shown to be jealous. Elises favorite thing at this time is cupcakes. Her and Nana made them and decorated them.

Notice the cupcake on her shirt.

Sydney and her Daddy.
Proud Grammy and baby girl.

Big Sis and Little Sissy.

Brand new!!

She is so precious and I'm glad Elise is such a good big sister. I worry that Hannah will hug the next baby to death and right now her kisses can sometimes be bites. :) Chris says congratulations! We are at home in MS but we will be heading back to TX next week. Can't wait to meet her one of these days!
